Alchemy (also known as Création Alchimie, NEQ 2282605221) (“Alchemy”, “we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect on www.byalchemy.ca, why, and what your rights are, in line with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada’s PIPEDA.

The owner of Alchemy is the person in charge of protecting personal information. For any question or request: contact@byalchemy.ca.

Information we collect

  • What you give us: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number, order details, messages to customer service, newsletter sign-ups;
  • Payment: processed securely by Shopify Payments or other processors — we never see or store your full card number;
  • Automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and interactions, through cookies and similar technologies.

Why we use it

  • To process, produce, ship and track your orders;
  • To answer your questions and handle claims;
  • To send you news and offers, only if you have opted in (unsubscribe anytime);
  • To improve the site, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it with the providers we need to serve you:

  • Shopify (store platform and payments);
  • Our print-on-demand workshops — Printify (United States) and its print partners, Printful (United States and other countries) and Contrado (United Kingdom) — which receive your name, address and order details to make and ship your items;
  • Carriers (e.g. Canada Post) for delivery;
  • Analytics and advertising tools, if you accept the related cookies;
  • Authorities, when required by law.

Transfers outside Quebec

Some of these providers process your information outside Quebec and Canada (including in the United States and the United Kingdom). We choose providers that offer adequate protection and only share what is necessary.

Cookies

We use cookies that are essential for the cart and checkout and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. You can manage your choices in the cookie banner, on our Your privacy choices page, or in your browser.

Retention and security

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above and our legal (e.g. tax) obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We take reasonable measures to protect it, but no internet transmission is completely secure.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, withdraw consent, learn how it is used, or receive a copy in a structured technological format. Email contact@byalchemy.ca; we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you may file a complaint with Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.

Minors

Our shop is not intended for children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
